Conference Interpreters

All conference interpreters who register with ONCALL UK are specialists in their fields, with the ability to interpret simultaneously at large multilingual events or, smaller business meetings for a number of different sectors in Court.

ONCALL UK verifies the experience of our interpreters during the registration process and accepts the following qualifications and accreditations:


MA in Conference Interpreting

PGDiP in Conference Interpreting

AIIC (International Association of Conference Interpreters)

EU Accreditation

Minimum 5 years Conference Interpreting experience

 
 

Public Service Interpreters 

The qualifications required for Public Service interpreting professionals differs slightly; therefore, so does our registration process.

Our Public Service interpreters are experienced in a number of different fields including NHS, Local Government, Justice and Housing. Qualifications and accreditation requested include:


DPSI Law

DSPSI Health

NRPSI

Minimum 2 years' experience in Public Sector Interpreting

Member of ITI

NVQ Level 3 in Community Interpreting

Metropolitan Police Test

Member of CIOL

 
 

Translators

All translation professionals who register with ONCALL UK for Document Translation must be able to demonstrate a minimum of five years’ experience in translation and/or hold a relevant qualification.

ONCALL UK verifies the experience of our translators during the registration process and accepts the following qualifications and accreditations:


MA in Translation

PGDiP in Translation

Diploma in Translation

Member of IOL

Member of ITL

 
 

Training and Continuing Professional Development

All interpreters and translators who register with ONCALL UK are subject to continuing professional development (CPD) and training.

This comes in the form of:


Sector Specific Training Sessions (in our London office)

Glossaries & T and terminology Databases

Professional Project Management

Access to a Variety of Interpreting & Translation Work (within UK and throughout Europe)
